The bioplastic used in our EcoBowl containers are made from plants, not oil. Derived from cornstarch, one of the worlds most annually renewable resource, polylactic acid or polylactide (referred to as PLA) provides a biodegradable & compostable bioplastic product that is future friendly, and a sustainable alternative to traditional oil based plastic products. We use a crystalized corn bioplastic, referred to as CPLA that enables the EcoBowl to have a high heat tolerance & therefore is great for both hot and cold contents from ice-cream to soup.

Another Vegware innovation! Brown Fairtrade sugar wrapped in the first compostable wrap. Most sugar sticks use paper with an oil-based PE plastic lining. The plastic lining is there so that the package can be heat sealed, keeping the sugar in. Vegware's plant-based coating means that these sugar sticks can be recycled either with dry paper, or composted with food waste. Sweet!
